Abstract
The current research aims to identify the leadership skill and its relationship to the optimistic bias of educational counselors for both sexes. The sample of the current research included (200) male and female male and female counselors from the Directorate of Education of Baghdad / Al-Rusafa 1. The leadership skill scale was built and the optimism bias scale was adopted. After using the statistical bag (SPSS) to process the data, the results of the research showed that the educational counselors have the skill of leadership in their work. There is no statistically significant difference between males and females in their possession of leadership skill, While the results showed that the educational counselors have an optimistic bias and that there is a difference in the optimistic bias in favor of females.
