Complaint Policy
The complaints administration procedures aim to provide a comprehensive mechanism through which complaints about services can be resolved.
- The complainant chooses “Contact Us” from the journal site, selects "Complaints," and fills in the complaint form.
- The editor-in-chief receives all complaints and confirms their receipt.
- The complaints are reviewed by the editorial manager to process and resolve them immediately.
- The editor-in-chief makes recommendations on how to improve the systems and discusses them with the editorial staff.
- The editor-in-chief sends information and provides explanations to those who submitted the complaints.
The main objective of this procedure is to ensure that all complaints are handled fairly, consistently, and—wherever possible—resolved to the complainant’s satisfaction. Accordingly, the journal’s complaints administration aims to:
- Empower the editorial staff to respond to issues raised by complainants in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Reinforce authors’ confidence in our article publication policy.
- Ensure continuous improvement in our services, including complaint resolution.

Plagiarism Policy
The author should submit an original manuscript and an unpublished article for theِ Alustath Journal for Human and Social Sciences. The manuscript must include a proper citation without plagiarism/duplication of the authors' previous work. The manuscript shall be submitted to the Turnitin's plagiarism detection software before sending to the reviewers. Alustath Journal for Human and Social Sciences board will reject the manuscript if plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication. In addition, we will not accept manuscripts that are submitted elsewhere.
Peer Review Policy
This Journal operates a double –blind peer review policy involving two external reviewers. Authors may suggest potential reviewers if they wish: however, the decision to consider these reviewers is at the editor’s discretion. Authors who wish to suggest peer reviewers can do so in the cover letter and should provide institutional email addresses where possible or information which will help the Editor to verify and identify the potential introduced reviewers (for example an ORCID or Scopus ID).
Publication Charge Policy
Fee for Publication
- The journal charges fees to publish research papers submitted by researchers from outside Iraq. 152 US dollars - and the research publication fee for researchers from inside Iraq (200) thousand dinars to be paid after the acceptance of the research
- The journal will be providing one hard copy of the journal number and one copy of the manuscript.

The Journal of the Faculty of Medicine Baghdad is an Open-Access Journal hence, there are no subscription fees.
For National Authors, the journal is charged (150,000) IQD equivalent to (100) USD, for a single accepted manuscript.
For international Authors, the journal is charged (30$) USD, for a single accepted manuscript

UJHSS Publishers follows the open access policy of publication under a Creative Commons (creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) which allows free online availability and access of articles, immediately upon publication. The APF covers charges for the services provided; these services include systems for the authors, editors and reviewers .The article fee is payable on the acceptance of the article prior to publication. There are no fees for rejected articles .Editorial items (editorials, corrections, additions, retractions, letters, comments, etc. are published free of charge.
