Abstract
The current research aims to : 1-Knowing the effect of the Center of the Universe and Spotlight strategies on the achievement of the History of Arab-Islamic Civilization subject for fourth grade literary students 2-Knowing the effect of the Center of the Universe and Spotlight strategies in developing critical thinking when teaching the subject of the history of Arab-Islamic civilization to fourth grade literary students, The study sample consisted of (103) students distributed into three groups, with (35) students in the first experimental group, which studied history using the strategy Center of the Universe, (34) students in the second experimental group that studied The subject is the same in the traditional way. The researcher was rewarded among the research groups on the variables (previous knowledge, intelligence test, chronological age, critical thinking test). The researcher prepared A post-achievement test consisting of (40) multiple-choice and essay-type items. Its validity, reliability and psychometric properties were confirmed, and the critical thinking scale was adopted prepared by (Al-Makadami: 2012), and the researcher used the statistical program (SPSS) to analyze the data statistically. The study concluded that the students of both groups excelled The two experiments on control group students in the achievement test and the critical thinking test
