Abstract
Kurdish proverbs formulate an important and essential part of Kurdish folklore, and it is a rich source for studying life style and view of Kurdish people about issues and different fields of life.
The Image of women in Kurdish proverbs is not a desired image; because, they are not deemed as noble and active characters. Rather, they are seen as a weak, hesitated, credulous and dishonest character, or they are considered as goods. Happiness and sadness, peace and war are embodied in women personality, and men make themselves beyond any failure.
