Abstract

The research aims to identify the effectiveness of using learning centers strategy upon conceptual comprehension and retention in history subject for fifth prporatoru class students. The researcher used the experimental design of partial contrel choosing the experimental group that studied according to the learning centers strategy, and the control group studied according to the traditional method. The number of students sample was ( 60) Students ; (30 ) students in each group . The two groups are equivalent concerning the variables : Age and , Intelligence test. The researcher used conceptual comprehension test as a tool for research, and verify the validity and the reliability of the tool, used t -test for The two independent samples for data processing, the results showed the superiority of the experimental group in conceptual comprehension and retention in history subject.
