Abstract

The aim of the research is to understand citizenship values and to show their effectiveness among the components of the Algerian society. Citizenship values are necessary concepts for the consolidation of social cohesion nowadays. The research is based on descriptive approach by using documentary studies. The research emphasized that the citizenship values play a major role in the development of societies through awareness of individuals, and recognition of their rights and duties in society. As well as their role in stabilizing community structure
