Abstract
Writings on cars are considered examples of folk literature since its meanings are similar to other features of folk literature productions such as proverbs and jokes ..etc .They are a reflection of character , thoughts, emotions, beliefs , moods, and ambitions of people and society . Till the present time, there is no comprehensive and scientific study of these writings neither in Iraq nor Turkey despite the fact that they represent distinctive aspect of culture and folklore . In this paper , examples of writings on cars in Iraq were collected and translated to Turkish language . In addition , explaining their meaning and comparing them to those writings that are common in Turkish society . And there is a reference to the role of the cultural factor between various societies, such as Iraqi society and Turkish society, in appearance of such writings
